The Better Business Bureau Consumer Education Foundation, Inc. (BBBCEF) of Austin, Texas is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation that was established in 1985 and is affiliated with the Better Business Bureau, Inc. (BBB) serving Central Texas, a 501(c) (6) non-profit corporation established in 1950.

The mission of the BBBCEF is to provide programs and services that support the BBB in its activities of educating consumers, business leaders, governmental agencies and news media by developing and disseminating reliable, unbiased, third party, pre-purchase information about companies, charities, products, services and other business and consumer related issues. 

This BBBCEF’s mission of program support for the BBB has been expanded in recent years to include the other 125 local BBBs and the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. (CBBB) – the National Headquarters for the Better Business Bureau system.  Click here for the full text!
